An outstanding group of young people set out for UN headquarters in New York for this year's Commission on Social Development (Csocd-51) from February 6-15. The theme of CSocD-51 is "Promoting empowerment of people in achieving poverty eradication, social integration and full employment and decent work for all." This Agents of Change delegation will be engaging in the policy discussion by developing and giving policy statements, working with other NGOs and youth, and finding ways to advance the SustainUS sustainable development policy position around CSocD.

SustainUS is excited to announce the selection of our inaugural class of the Lead Now Fellowship. These young people are strengthening their leadership skills as they develop creative projects to advance sustainability in their communities. They will be supported by SustainUS through trainings, mentorship, and funding to extend their leadership and project development to new depths.
Whether it's working to develop community funded renewable energy projects in the Detroit area or empowering women to use reusable feminine products across the country, these fellows are an incredible group that demonstrate that young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow but can be the leaders of today.

First, could she help them understand the relationship between climate change and the horrific storm that had just devastated much of their town? And second, what could she tell them about her upcoming trip to the Middle East?
Welcome our newest Agents of Change!
